The Maimonides Society of The Jewish Federation of Pinellas & Pasco Counties is a fellowship of physicians and dentists and other health care professionals who seek to strengthen the bonds between themselves, Israel and the broader Jewish community. The Jewish Federation of Pinellas & Pasco Counties Maimonides Society includes health care professionals who are committed to the highest ideals of the health-care profession. They serve as resources to the Jewish and general community whenever leadership might be needed, whether in areas of philanthropy, health action, or scholarship.
Besides providing an opportunity for collegial socializing and networking, the Society's programs have featured an array of diverse speakers in specialties such as medicine, sports and ethics. In addition, the Maimonides Society has accomplished much over fifteen years of existence, from offering medical services to newly arrived Soviet Jewish immigrants to providing one-on-one contact with our Israeli counterparts.
The main thrust of the Maimonides Society has always been, and continues to be, its commitment to The Jewish Federation of Pinellas & Pasco Counties. The only requisite for Maimonides Society membership is a minimum pledge of $1000 to the annual campaign, payable any time during the campaign year.
Of course, all Tampa Bay area physicians, dentists, and health-care professionals are welcome to attend Maimonides events, and will continue to be notified of individual programs. However, we are confident that you will find membership both intellectually stimulating, and professionally rewarding.
The Maimonides Society affords health care professionals a unique opportunity to network with their peers and a chance to participate in the work of repairing the world through involvement in the Community.
