OPERATION EXODUS 20TH ANNIVERSARY

Operation Exodus LogoWhen Jewish families tried to escape the Soviet Union, they often fled with little more than a few dollars and a suitcase. They had nowhere to turn...nobody to help them.
So the Jewish Federations of North America, raised $1 billion to support
Operation Exodus, the rescue and resettlement of 1 million Soviet Jews from 1990 to 1997.

Today, those families are living in Israel and throughout North America. They’re our friends, our families, our neighbors.

Please visit our Operation Exodus page, which includes a timeline, historic photos, educational resources and remembrances from those involved in Operation Exodus and to read stories of lives changed

JCRC Update

During the last meeting of the JCRC it was decided to create two committees: Rapid Response Letter Writing Committee – this will consist mainly of an email list of those who will write to our local media outlets when the need arises. When needed, an email will be sent out to those who choose to be on this list, so we can get our voice out as quickly as possible to respond to anti-Israel, anti-Semitic issues. Please let Stuart Berger know if you wish to be placed on this committee / list. Media Watchdog Committee This committee will consist of individuals who will monitor print and broadcast media and will alert the JCRC of anti-Israel bias. Many times it is an individual who alerts the community to an issue or story that needs rebuttal. Please let Stuart Berger know if you are able to be a media watchdog! The next meeting will take place on Nov. 10th at the Federation offices
