The man who allegedly killed a Jewish Wesleyan University student a month ago was found with a copy of the anti-Semitic "Protocols of the Elders of Zion"; police infiltrated a group of terrorists that allegedly were plotting to bomb a pair of Bronx synagogues; and the alleged shooter at an Arkansas military recruiting center was found to have conducted research on Jewish sites. The Holocaust museum had been scheduled to host an invitation-only premiere of the play "Anne and Emmett" on Wednesday night. The production features an imaginary meeting between Holocaust victim Anne Frank and Emmett Till, an African-American lynched in Mississippi in 1955 after he was accused of whistling at a white woman. The above is from Jewish Telegraphic Agency, a worldwide Jewish news service |
The good, the bad and the ugly.
Those are the words members of the Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC) of the Jewish Federation of Pinellas/Pasco Counties used to describe their most recent meeting with the editorial board of the St. Petersburg Times.

The Jewish
Federation of Pinellas and Pasco County announced that the Annual Campaign
raised $1,223,907.00. That is 76% of our goal, $1,600.000.00. While the
Federation has had to cut back its allocations to beneficiary organizations, we are
still able to provide support for job seekers, advice as to where to obtain
emergency financial assistance, counseling for stress and anxiety, and much
more. If you have not yet made your commitment, please
pledge now. |
